Under 15's

The under 15's went to Devon for the 5th time this year, however, there was no scheduled tournament to play in leaving them with a friendly against the local Paignton Pilgrims. On the saturday they took a trip to the local beach where a number of players got injured playing beach football and played Paington Pilgrim's adults which included four outstanding players at the local park. On the Sunday they visited the same pitch to play Paington Pilgrims Under 15's. It was dry until kick off, then the rain came. In terrible conditions they fought out a tough match going one-nill down, then two-one up with goals from Dan (after a spectacular move which, as Luke kept reminding us, started with him.) and Josh. Another goal (Josh again) put us three-one up but the Pilgrims pulled another back courtesy of their classy striker making it three-two. After going four-two up and Josh completing his hat-trick the game looked over, however, the Pilgrims pulled another back near the end to make for an exciting finish. The match finished with a 4-3 Thornhill win and the Man of the Match trophies were handed out as the rain continued. Declan recieved MOTM for us as voted by the other teams managers and we voted for their quality, two goal striker. Thanks to the Pilgrims for turning up in the awful conditions and providing us with a quality match.

The Tour 07 squad - Shaka, Grant, Owain, Tim Crompton, Tim Connoly, Rhys Blannin, Josh Yanez (three goals), Dan Bartlett (one goal), Luke Haines, Declan Andrews (MOTM), Nik Charlesworth, Nick Leonard, James Chappel and Tom Sunderland.

The Under 12's

The Under 12's were very unlucky not to qualify for the final in their tournament and ended up in third, one point behind second. Having won five, only losing one (by and own goal) and drawing two it seemed a harsh fate to only just miss out for the second year running.
